Peek-a-boo

Hello Chicas,

The trend of wearing innerwear as outerwear has made a comeback and how! A host of celebrities like Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Rihanna can be seen rocking this trend with their delectable lingerie collection. This fashion trend is not exactly a new phenomenon as stars like Madonna, Beyonce had nailed this style in the past. While we all are guilty of hoarding countless slip dresses last season, the underwear as outerwear trend doesn't limit itself to just these slinky dresses. From bralettes to lacey camisoles, the fashion world counts them as a legitimate outdoor wear. I personally found this whole concept of wearing something as intimate as lingerie in the broad daylight bold and empowering. However, pulling off this trend is not an easy job. Newbies might find it intimidating to show off lingerie in public. So one can start off with a little peek-a-boo look by giving a glimpse of a lacey camisole or a bra worn underneath.

In today's post I'll be sharing part 1 of the underwear as outerwear series with you all and I promise to return with a few more posts on how to wear this trend. Coming to my outfit, I have chosen a black faux leather bralette to start off with this trend. I have worn the bralette over a white shirt and paired it with a checked mustard yellow pleated skirt. This has to be the easiest way to wear this trend without revealing much. For accessorizing my outfit, I opted for a white studded purse with tassel detailing and knee high socks with combat boots to battle the winter chill.

Leopard Love!

Hi everybody,

Todays OOTD is about my love for leopard print. Animal prints are a staple in one's winter wardrobe with an array of choices ranging from panther print, snakeskin print, tiger print or zebra print for a monochrome look. For those who find animal print clothing over the top, you can always incorporate these wild prints in your accessories in the form of shoes, bags or scarfs. But one need to steer clear of overdoing this trend by dressing up in animal print from head to toe unless you are Beyonce. Well, you can be anything if you are Queen Bee!

Coming to my outfit, I have paired a leopard print pleated skirt with a mint green ribbed sweater, which I actually bought online thinking it's mint blue although green went well too. The cutout at the arms of the sweater gives it an edge and one of the reasons I bought it. The leopard skirt was an absolute steal from B.k market. Given my pear shaped body type, this pleated skirt did total justice in flattering my curves. I have completed the look with black booties paired with over the knee socks, which I was so desperate to get hold on but I would recommend over the knee tights instead of socks as it keeps rolling down.

Accessory wise, I have added a gold chain necklace and cross hand chain. Tried curls for the first time on my own, turned out to be a messy affair!
