Off The Shoulder

Hello Chicas,

With the scorching heat making a comeback, it's time to shrug off the polo necklines and embrace the very sexy off the shoulder trend. From cutesy bare neck tops to a sleek one-piece, there are numerous ways to wear them.

I chose a maroon off shoulder crop top which has a cute bow detailing near the elbow and flowy bell sleeves. A black button down skirt turned out to be a perfect match for it. The a-line pattern of the skirt looked very flattering on my pear shaped body type. Off shoulder style really elongates one's neckline and is a great way to flaunt the collarbones. One can draw the attention away from the bare neck, by opting for a statement neck-piece. I went for a chic plastic choker in black. Chunky block heels and a backpack in tan completed the look. Makeup wise, I went with maroon lips and kohled eyes. Also, came up with a last minute hairstyle with the help of my photographer, who suggested me to braid my hair sideways, but since I have uneven locks that didn't work so I just twisted it up sideways with the help of bobby pins.

Boho Chic!

Hello Chicas,

So it's officially fall except in my city where I still have to think twice before heading outdoors to shoot an outfit! With the fashion world embracing fall trends, I present you all my first fall outfit Sheer Damask Kimono.

As much as I love to dress sharp and chic, I also like to be my free spirited self at times. So in today's OOTD I'm channeling my inner Boho vibe in this enchanting emerald sheer kimono. I love the delicate damask patchwork throughout the kimono and the fringed hem makes it an even more fun wear. Also, I figured out shorter kimonos are way easier to work with on my petite figure as compared to the longer maxi ones. I have teamed it up with an ivory bodycon dress as I didn't want to overdo the outfit, but to make the kimono stand out!

I have accessorized the outfit with tan wedge heels and some golden black bangles and my fringe tan bag added to the fringe fest. :D Round retro sunnies and ox blood lips tied up the look together.

A huge thanks to LA Photography for the amazing clicks.

Maxi Kimono

Hello Chicas,

In today's post I will be sharing with you all my latest summer purchase which happens to be a maxi kimono.

The over-size kimono is in ivory with sheer fabric and beautiful thread embroidery. I specially love the back of this kimono which has a butterfly embroidery. After buying it, I was super confused as to what to pair it with as I am not in the shape to wear shorts right now. :P After hunting my wardrobe I got hold of this plum jumpsuit which was a sale purchase last year and found it perfect to go with the kimono.

I have completed the look with golden cuff, a statement ring and chain linked necklace. Also a wide brim fedora to shun the sun! :)

Marsala Midi!

Hello Chicas,

Today I present you all my Valentine's outfit.
The spotlight of today's outfit is midi skirt. Midi Skirts are huge this season and a must-have in one's closet but styling it can be tricky. Being petite, I wasn't sure whether I would ever be able to carry a midi skirt. But being a rebel, I did my research and found the perfect midi skirt for my body type.
Also, this happens to be my first outfit in Pantone Color of the year "Marsala" and I'm loving the color already so much. Gotta add more of Marsala to my wardrobe. :D
So here are a few tips and tricks on how to rock a midi skirt like a pro:
  1. Always opt for a midi skirt which ends just below your knee and not at your mid calf. The thing with the midis ending on your mid calf are that they make your legs look short and stumpy if you are short or even have an average height.
  2. Go for A-line skirt which defines your waistline. Add a belt for a more distinct look. It will not only flatter your curves, but also shift the attention from the hips.
  3. Choose a light fabric like mesh, net, chiffon or lace. It will make you look slimmer and will not weigh you down. The midi skirt I'm wearing is in lace with pretty pleats.
  4. Add up a few inches by pairing the midi with your favorite high heels. Choosing a nude or a color closer to your skin tone will elongate your legs.
  5. Pair the midi skirt with a well structured top. In my case I have paired it with a boxy crop top in baby pink which is from the same color family as the maroon skirt.
  6. Add a chunky neck-piece to balance the look. I have added a blue statement neckpiece to break the monotonous color coordinated look.
To sum up the look I have added a bold lipstick in maroon shade and retro round sunnies.
In this look, I felt lady like for the first time in my life. :)
