If you are following me on my social media channels you must be knowing that I recently attended the launch of Venus Breeze from Gillette. The launch of Breeze was done by none other than the flawless Bollywood beauty Kalki Koechlin accompanied by ace dermatologist Dr. Rashmi Shetty. Kalki made her appearance in hawa-hawai style wearing a gorgeous sea green ruffle dress and donning a sleek top knot. The stage was lit up with purple lights and the entire set up was beautifully done in lavender and white complimenting the lavender hue Gillette Venus Breeze.
The event started off with Kalki and Rashmi addressing to one of the most dreadful issues faced by women from all walks of life, the consequences of using a razor. Remembering her school time Kalki mentioned how she used to buy low cost razors and later worry about thick hair growth which was nothing but a myth. Dr. Rashmi went on explaining us how using a razor is as normal as any other method of hair removal. Giving a sigh of relief to all women, she even said that the razor can be used for all forms of waxing including bikini waxing, but need to consult doctor before shaving facial hairs, as it occurs due to hormonal imbalance. Dr. Shetty busted all myths regarding shaving, saying that the most common myth is the hair growth will be faster after shaving but in reality, it doesn't. The number of hairs in any given part of the body is genetically and sex determined and not by the tool which we use.

The discussion ended with an interactive session wherein they answered to some of the questions from bloggers and clarified all our doubts. After that Kalki busted the shaving myths quite literally by bursting balloons. Post that I caught up with some other bloggers from the city over high-tea.
