Colorful Stripes

Hello Chicas,

Classic stripes with contrasting hues makes a comeback as one of the most wearable trend for spring/summer 2016. When we think stripes, we think of the usual black and white or navy and white combinations, but this season it's all about rainbow color stripes. From linear to zigzag pattern, infused with candy colors, this trend makes such a fun wear for spring/summer. I got hold of this shift dress in green and wine stripes with a self-tie belted waist. The light chiffon material of the dress makes it very comfortable and soothing in this warm weather. I have kept the look casual by accessorizing it with white slip ons and black fringe sling bag. With the sunny days approaching us, I'm stocking up on bright lipsticks and this orange lip crayon from Chambor has become my go to lip color.

Tulle Death Do Us Part

Hello Chicas,

Like every other girl, I am a big fan of Carrie Bradshaw and an even bigger fan of her wardrobe. Whether it's the intro theme song of the show where she appeared in a tutu or the last episode where she wanders around the street of Paris in a mint green tulle dress, she gave us some major fashion goals in those outfits.

So inspired by her, I bought this tulle dress like a year ago, but was skeptical about wearing it without looking like a school going kid. Also, the upper part of the dress didn't look very flattering on me because of the ill fit. So it remained somewhere shoved in my closet until very recently when I thought of pairing it up with a crop top. The fashion issues crop top came to the rescue and I finally got a chance to slip into this poofy tulle. Wearing navy and black together is one of those fashion no-nos which had to be broken. Also, I ditched the sky high heels and opted for a super comfortable pair of blingy slip ons. Red lips and a dainty bracelet cum watch completed the look.

Off The Shoulder

Hello Chicas,

With the scorching heat making a comeback, it's time to shrug off the polo necklines and embrace the very sexy off the shoulder trend. From cutesy bare neck tops to a sleek one-piece, there are numerous ways to wear them.

I chose a maroon off shoulder crop top which has a cute bow detailing near the elbow and flowy bell sleeves. A black button down skirt turned out to be a perfect match for it. The a-line pattern of the skirt looked very flattering on my pear shaped body type. Off shoulder style really elongates one's neckline and is a great way to flaunt the collarbones. One can draw the attention away from the bare neck, by opting for a statement neck-piece. I went for a chic plastic choker in black. Chunky block heels and a backpack in tan completed the look. Makeup wise, I went with maroon lips and kohled eyes. Also, came up with a last minute hairstyle with the help of my photographer, who suggested me to braid my hair sideways, but since I have uneven locks that didn't work so I just twisted it up sideways with the help of bobby pins.
