Laced-up in Military Green!

Hello Chicas,

How are you all doing? I'm so glad that there is a drop in temperature here in Calcutta since I finally will be able to flaunt my winter wardrobe which I hoarded last month.

The outfit I'm sharing today entails favorite current trends of mine, the front lace up pattern and the color of the season, military green. From runways to celebrities, the lace up trend is everywhere. The look I'm sporting today is a suede jacket in olive green shade which is on the androgynous side. I have layered it up on an edgy black shift dress. The lace up front of the dress serves as a bold statement to an otherwise basic winter ensemble. As the deep neck lace up front might be too revealing for many of us, now is the best time to embrace this elegant style by layering it up with a trench coat or a casual knit underneath. Also the lace up detailing comes in a variety of styles from leggings to crop tops to shoes (I'm planning to get hold of all of them), so one is bound to find something which will work for them.

I have accessorized the outfit with a pair of black stilettos which is on the same lines with the criss-cross fashion of the dress and an envelope clutch in rose pink. Vampy oxblood lips and the cat eye shaped bridge sunglass elevated the bold look.

Gingham Girl!

Hello Chicas,

Today's OOTD is a casual one! As the weather gets warmer, it's time to ditch those sweaters and heavy duty jackets and slip into light cozy winter layering. So being in tune with the weather, I wore this distressed denim pencil skirt which has a frayed hem. I have paired the skirt with a cropped gingham shirt, which is my most favorite among all the check prints. The red and navy blue shade of the shirt added a much needed pop of color to the outfit. Pencil skirts are my current favorite, love how one can transform the look from a formal office wear one by pairing it with a shirt to a laid back casual one by throwing on a simple tee.

I have accessorized the outfit with yellow reflective aviators to go with my golden spiked necklace. To complete the look, I decided to keep the other accents in neutral color, so opted for a backpack and ankle length boots in tan.

Vintage Vibes!

Hello Chicas,

How have you all been? I started my new year with a mini vacation to Darjeeling and Gangtok. I had one heck of a time on the hills, enjoyed playing in the snow, dressed up to my heart's content, ate delicious food and last but not the least did some street shopping. I have shared a few pictures taken from my cellphone on my Instagram and Facebook account. I'm glad to have taken this break, couldn't have asked for a better start of the new year.

Coming to today's outfit, I shot this one a while back when there was no trace of winters. I fell in love with this maxi skirt, the moment I saw it. Maxi skirts are a must have in one's wardrobe as they are versatile and can be worn all year round. The maxi skirt I have worn is in a beautiful light pink shade with  pretty pleats on it which added to its flirtatious beauty. I have paired the skirt with a delicate floral embroidered lace top. The mock neckline of the cropped blouse gave a very vintage look.

As the outfit was all romantic and girly, I decided to make it edgy by accessorizing it with combat boots. Round sunglass and dainty pearl baubles added to the retro vibes. The low bun I'm sporting was very last minute and I have no idea how I did it. To complete the look, I went for a bold red pout which brightened up the entire outfit.
