Marsala Midi!

Hello Chicas,

Today I present you all my Valentine's outfit.
The spotlight of today's outfit is midi skirt. Midi Skirts are huge this season and a must-have in one's closet but styling it can be tricky. Being petite, I wasn't sure whether I would ever be able to carry a midi skirt. But being a rebel, I did my research and found the perfect midi skirt for my body type.
Also, this happens to be my first outfit in Pantone Color of the year "Marsala" and I'm loving the color already so much. Gotta add more of Marsala to my wardrobe. :D
So here are a few tips and tricks on how to rock a midi skirt like a pro:
  1. Always opt for a midi skirt which ends just below your knee and not at your mid calf. The thing with the midis ending on your mid calf are that they make your legs look short and stumpy if you are short or even have an average height.
  2. Go for A-line skirt which defines your waistline. Add a belt for a more distinct look. It will not only flatter your curves, but also shift the attention from the hips.
  3. Choose a light fabric like mesh, net, chiffon or lace. It will make you look slimmer and will not weigh you down. The midi skirt I'm wearing is in lace with pretty pleats.
  4. Add up a few inches by pairing the midi with your favorite high heels. Choosing a nude or a color closer to your skin tone will elongate your legs.
  5. Pair the midi skirt with a well structured top. In my case I have paired it with a boxy crop top in baby pink which is from the same color family as the maroon skirt.
  6. Add a chunky neck-piece to balance the look. I have added a blue statement neckpiece to break the monotonous color coordinated look.
To sum up the look I have added a bold lipstick in maroon shade and retro round sunnies.
In this look, I felt lady like for the first time in my life. :)

Floral Romper!

Hello Chicas,
How have you all been?
Love is in the air!!
What are your plans this Valentine's? I being single, will be celebrating with my besties and I literally can't wait to share my Valentine's outfit which will be up next week. Super excited to watch Roy this weekend.
Coming to today's outfit I have styled a floral romper in red with a denim jacket. Rompers are so easy to wear and provides ultimate comfort. Being petite, I have some serious romper-envy as the longer ones looks so ill fitted on me. So recently I got hold of this shorter one which looks more like a dress. And the floral print makes it so apt for spring, As there's a chill in the air, I have layered it with a denim jacket which has this beautiful lace detailing on the collar and sleeves.
I have accessorized the outfit with beige wedge heels and some pearl arm party! :D

Leopard Love!

Hi everybody,

Todays OOTD is about my love for leopard print. Animal prints are a staple in one's winter wardrobe with an array of choices ranging from panther print, snakeskin print, tiger print or zebra print for a monochrome look. For those who find animal print clothing over the top, you can always incorporate these wild prints in your accessories in the form of shoes, bags or scarfs. But one need to steer clear of overdoing this trend by dressing up in animal print from head to toe unless you are Beyonce. Well, you can be anything if you are Queen Bee!

Coming to my outfit, I have paired a leopard print pleated skirt with a mint green ribbed sweater, which I actually bought online thinking it's mint blue although green went well too. The cutout at the arms of the sweater gives it an edge and one of the reasons I bought it. The leopard skirt was an absolute steal from B.k market. Given my pear shaped body type, this pleated skirt did total justice in flattering my curves. I have completed the look with black booties paired with over the knee socks, which I was so desperate to get hold on but I would recommend over the knee tights instead of socks as it keeps rolling down.

Accessory wise, I have added a gold chain necklace and cross hand chain. Tried curls for the first time on my own, turned out to be a messy affair!
